Our wish is to turn sluggish caterpillars into butterfies

The impacts of a digital transformation can be as striking as a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.

However, without an integrated strategy, an organisation will likely remain a hungry caterpillar, if a little faster.

We design butterflies.

Their support continues to enhance our performance across a range of KPIs.

Our secret to digital transformation success:

Putting people and outcomes ahead of the technology

Digital transformation strategies are now critical to delivering effective processes and productivity, customer and employee experiences, managing business risk and controlling costs.

The Journey that never ends

Technology adoption is the journey of continual renewal.  Budgets should only be appropriated with a complete awareness of your strategic objectives, stakeholder representations, forecast outcomes set against performance indicators, and the technologies available.

People, Strategy & Outcomes

Digital transformation is about people, strategy, and understanding the outcomes that will financially benefit and grow your KPIs.

Successful digital transformation initiatives therefore require a bird’s eye view of an organisation’s objectives and structures but also a clear understanding of all the stakeholders involved.

This is what our grant funded reviews provide.
The technology only follows the analysis of the need and the opportunity..

Why, what and how are we funding?

Why are we doing this?

We are seeking more relationships in the charity sector. It was an end of year consensus across our team to start to gear our services towards growing a better future. A grandiose design, but our team is a passionate one and we know we can make a little difference.

What are we offering?

We are funding £5,000 net of consultancy work per application to develop a digital transformation review.

The scope of this review will be scaled to that grant so it is wholly grant funded by The Software Farm.

The grants are available to all sizes of organisations registered as charities.

For larger charitable organisations seeking a review that will clearly extend beyond the grant, we will provide a costing from which the £5000 grant is deducted following the scoping meet. The project will be agreed before either party commits beyond.

How do I secure a grant?

This is a time limited offer so please take a moment to fill out the application below.

Discovery Phase

Assessment of current operational processes

Assessing and documenting the existing operational processes to understand the charity’s workflow. This step is crucial for identifying areas where technology could streamline tasks, improve efficiency, and enhance overall effectiveness.

Analysis of architecture

Evaluating the current IT infrastructure and software solutions in use. This analysis helps in understanding the technical capabilities and limitations, suggesting improvements or integrations with more efficient technologies.

Digital communications point mapping

Understanding the pattern, demands and limitation of the existing internal and external communications across a charity’s key stakeholders is critical to integrating operational and managerial functions with those of marketing,  fund raising, volunteer and HR management.

Data management and security audit

Assessing and improving how the charity manages and secures its data. This helps in the considering the implemention of  better data storage practices, enhancing data security measures, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.

Review Paper

Technology strategy to improve your outcomes

Based on the analysis of current processes and system architecture, we will recommend a tailored and integrated future technology strategy.

This will include recommendations, where appropriate, for off-the-shelf products or guidance on custom software development that aligns with the charity’s specific needs and goals.

Performance measured

Our recommendations will be measured against the impact of new technology implementations to the desired outcomes, so the charity is  able to make data-driven decisions.
